Steven and I were at a Bible Study recently and one of the attendees posed this question to the group, “What are you passionate about?” Wow, what a great question! He went on to say that when we discover what we are passionate about, we possess the key to unlock Gods plan for our lives. While nothing immediately came to mind, I did begin a dialogue with the One who Created me, the One who formed me and asked Him, “Father God, What am I passionate about?”
I began to daily set aside time to ask Him this question, then to wait for His response. I would grab my Bible and notebook, sit on the floor and wait for His presence and voice. (Oh how He loves spending time with us!) I was wanting a quick answer so I could move forward. But God was enjoying the process of us being together and the joy I would find in discovering His heart. Here is a glimpse inside my journal from that week:
Day One - What is my passion?
Day Two - What is my passion?
Day Three - What is my passion? And how come I don’t know it?
Day Four - Okay God, what is YOUR passion?
I sensed Him smiling at this rewording of the question. So I continued, “Father, if I know what You are passionate about, then I can align my passion with Your passion, right?”
Day Five - I feel like I am getting somewhere and on the threshold of what God is wanting to reveal to me. “Jesus, what is Your passion?” I sensed in my Spirit His response,
“Oneness. I’m passionate about Oneness.”
Since that day, He’s been revealing to me what “oneness” entails. And I’m loving every second of it!! I have attached the link to the introductory video to “Oneness.” I pray that as you listen to it that you would hear the heartbeat of Heaven and the desire of Your Heavenly Father to make you One with Christ.
I pray that God will give you spiritual wisdom and insight so that you might grow in your knowledge of Him. I pray also that your heart will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called—his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance.
