October 2026 Good News Letter

Dear Glory House Family,
As Steven and I look back at October of 2025, we can see how that month was such a pivotal time for the ministry. It was a month of prayer and consecrating ourselves unto the Lord. We believe this month will also be another pivotal month! As we enter October of 2026, let us be reminded of the beautiful invitation we have as believers to continually grow deeper in our walk with God.
No matter where we are in our journey of faith, there is always more of His presence and power to experience, more of His Word to discover, and more of His voice to learn to recognize. Our prayer for you as you step into October is that you would not simply go through the motions of your faith, but that you would intentionally pursue a deeper relationship with the Lord—through prayer, His Word, worship, fellowship, and listening for His direction in your life.

Learning to Follow His Leading
“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.” — Romans 8:14 (NKJV)
There is a beautiful distinction between knowing that the Holy Spirit dwells within us and learning to recognize His leading in our daily lives. As believers, we have been given the extraordinary privilege of fellowship with the Spirit of God. Yet this relationship was never intended to remain passive. The Holy Spirit desires not only dwell within us, but also to guide our steps, shape our decisions, and lead us into a deeper understanding of the Father’s heart. The Christian life is not simply a journey of knowing where we ought to go. It is a journey of learning to follow the One who knows the way.
In Romans 8:14, the Apostle Paul reminds us that being led by the Spirit is a distinguishing characteristic of God’s children. This leading is not reserved for pastors, prophets, or those who have attained some extraordinary level of spiritual maturity. It is the inheritance of every believer who belongs to Christ.
But how do we learn to recognize His leading? We begin by cultivating communion.
Just as we become familiar with the voice of a close friend through time spent together, we grow in sensitivity to the Holy Spirit through prayer, meditation upon God’s Word, and a heart yielded to His direction. His guidance will never contradict the truth of Scripture, and His work within us will increasingly reflect the character of Christ. Often, we seek God’s direction in the extraordinary moments of life—when facing difficult decisions, uncertain circumstances, or an unfamiliar path. Yet the Holy Spirit is equally present in the ordinary moments.
He may prompt us to extend forgiveness when resentment seems easier, to offer encouragement when someone is struggling, or to remain silent when our words would bring harm. His leading may be a gentle conviction, a renewed understanding of Scripture, or an inward prompting that calls us toward obedience. Not every thought or feeling is the voice of the Holy Spirit. Discernment grows as we test what we sense against Scripture, seek godly wisdom, and remain willing to be corrected.
The secret to being led by the Holy Spirit is not found in mastering a spiritual technique, but in cultivating a relationship of trust and surrender.
There will be times when His direction challenges our preferences or calls us beyond our comfort. Yet obedience, even in the smallest matters, teaches us to trust His wisdom above our own.
We need not understand every turn in the road to follow the One who leads us. The more we surrender, the more we discover that His guidance is not merely about reaching a destination. It is about becoming more like Jesus along the way.
“You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.” — Psalms 16:11 (NKJV)
May we never become so consumed with asking God to bless the paths we have chosen that we forget to ask the Holy Spirit to direct our steps. For the greatest privilege of the Spirit-led life is not simply knowing where to go, but knowing the One who walks with us.

A Prayer for His Leading
Heavenly Father, thank You for the precious gift of Your Holy Spirit, who dwells within us and faithfully guides us into truth. Holy Spirit, teach us to recognize Your voice amid the noise and distractions of everyday life. Quiet our anxious thoughts, soften our hearts, and awaken within us a greater sensitivity to Your presence. Where we have relied upon our own understanding, teach us to trust Your wisdom. Where fear has hindered our obedience, give us courage to follow. Where we have wandered from Your direction, gently lead us back into fellowship with You. May our lives become a testimony of Your faithful guidance, reflecting the character of Jesus in our words, our actions, and our relationships. We surrender our plans, our decisions, and our desires to You. Lead us, Holy Spirit. We are listening. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Points for Reflection
- Am I cultivating a daily relationship with the Holy Spirit, or seeking His guidance only when I face difficult decisions?
- How can I become more attentive to His gentle promptings in the ordinary moments of my day?
- When I sense the Spirit leading me, do I respond with obedience, or allow fear and personal preference to determine my response?
- Am I allowing Scripture to shape my understanding of the Holy Spirit’s voice?
- What might change in my life if I began each morning with a simple prayer: “Holy Spirit, lead me today, and give me a willing heart to follow”?

Glory House Kids - Discipleship Ministry
With summer coming to a close and fall on the horizon, the Kids Discipleship Ministry is in full swing!
Our ministry team has been hard at work building a foundation in these amazing children who will one day be church and world leaders! In August the kids learned about heroes of the Bible. September has been about learning to become more aware of God—each week focusing on how we can intentionally interact and engage with Him. October will be a month the kids will learn about the power of faith over fear.
Our mission is to create a strong biblical, practical, and relational foundation with each child through energetic praise, worship, exciting Bible lessons, and practical applications.
Our team is committed to serving and loving every child and fostering a supportive role to each of the child's parents. We are so grateful to the wonderful team who serve with purpose! We look ahead with great expectation!
